The ongoing local government verification tour of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in Abia state entered its penultimate stage following the visit of the governorship candidate of the party, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu (Aka Ekpochi Onwa I of Bende), to the Umunneochi and Isuikwuato L.G.As.
On his arrival at Umunneochi, he, alongside APP’s candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Dr. Lilian Chinasa Obenwa; and Onyedikachi Peter Ezeoji, APP’s candidate for Umunneochi State House Assembly, paid a courtesy visit to the palace of His Royal Majesty, Eze (DR.) G. I Ezekwesiri, the Ochi I of Isuochi, where they received royal blessings from the king.
After that, Chief Kalu and his entourage had a town hall meeting with members of his party in Umunneochi L.G.A.
Speaking at the meeting, he admonished the people to put more effort into grassroots mobilization for the party.
Shortly after the verification visit to Umnneochi, the train of Chief Kalu landed in Isuikuwato L.G.A and assured the people of his readiness to transform Abia state with people-centered policies.
With the verification visits to Umunneochi and Isuikwuato, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu and his team have toured around sixteen L.G. So far in Abia state, Ohafia L.G.A remains, which he will visit next week.
