The governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in Abia state, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu (KSJI), has exercised his franchise by voting at polling unit 011, Umusi Village Square, at his Igbere hometown in Bende L.G.A. of the state.

Speaking to the media after voting, the APP governorship candidate expressed optimism in winning the election while commending INEC for the early arrival of election materials and the smooth conduct of the exercise so far.

The former Abia State Chief of Staff, however, decried the level of low voter turnout, attributing it to the experience of the electorate in the last presidential and national assembly elections.

He, therefore, urged the voters to come out en masse and cast their votes, noting that that would change the dynamics of the state.
