Fast-rising and promising attacking midfielder, Divine Nwachukwu, who hails from Bende L.G.A. of Abia State, has earned his first international call-up to the men’s senior national team, the Super Eagles.
Nwachukwu, 20, who plies his trade for an NPFL side, Bende Insurance FC, has been in remarkable form in his debut season, scoring twice at the top division’s Super Six playoff tournament.
His spectacular form has not gone unnoticed, as his name is among the 23-man list released today by the Super Eagles coach, Jose Poseiro.
The former Nigerian youth player, along with four other home-based players, will team up with their foreign counterparts at the Eagles’ camp in preparation for the AFCON qualifiers against the Sierra Leone national team on June 18 in Monrovia.
