The Senate, on Wednesday, was thrown into tumultuous chaos as one of the ministerial nominees, Abbas Balarabe, from Kaduna State, collapsed while in the red chambers for screening.
Recall that MUK TV reported yesterday that the former Secretary General to the Kaduna State Government was nominated by President Bola Tinubu as El-Rufai’s replacement.
But the ministerial nominee while appearing before the Senate for screening, collapsed shortly after introducing himself to the senators.
While the cause of the sudden collapse could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, could be heard shouting at the top of his voice, “Give him water and sugar.”
This paper, however, gathered that Balarabe was said to be fasting before going for the ministerial screening.
