Senator Elisha Eboh, the sacked lawmaker from Adamawa, has made a turnaround, withdrawing his earlier claims that the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, was removed by the Appeal Court and, consequently, apologized over the action that he described as a premature outburst.

Abbo’s apology was made in an interview with Arise TV on Wednesday, which was monitored by MUK TV.

He said, “I have to say with all sense of humility and responsibility that the press release we issued yesterday was premature and based on the available information at our disposal.

“As of today, we have discovered a lot of things, and yesterday night, I had a discussion with the Senate President, and I am convinced that he is not involved.

According to the embattled lawmaker, Akpabio distanced himself from his political travail and solemnly swore by his mother’s grave that he [Akpabio] was not involved, saying, “I don’t even know that you’re in court.”

“For a number three citizen to come up to tell me that he has sworn on his mother’s grave, a woman that he loves so much, a woman who brought him up after he lost his father at the age of six, I don’t see a reason why he would lie.”

As reported by MUK TV, Senator Abboh blamed Akpabio for his sack following the Court of Appeal ruling on Monday, accusing the Senate President of political vendetta because he did not support his emergence.
