The Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan’s victory in the Kogi Central Senatorial Election held in February, dismissing the appeal filed by Abubakar Ohere as lacking merit, MUK TV can report.
Recall that the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal in Lokoja had previously nullified the victory of Abubakar Ohere, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the Kogi Central Senatorial Election, and declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the rightful winner of the February senatorial poll.
Despite Ohere’s attempt to seek redress at the appellate court, the Court of Appeal upheld Akpoti-Uduagan’s victory, confirming her as the elected representative for Kogi Central.
