A 75-year-old man, Daniel Jaja, has suffered a severe and deep on his private part, and currently lies in a hospital in Adamawa State, grappling with injuries sustained while attempting to sexually assault a 25-year-old woman who had paid him a visit in Mukuvinyi Village, Hong Local Government Area.
This information was disclosed in an official statement on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, reference number CZ:5300/ADS/PPRO/VOL.4/52.
According to Nguroje, the suspect, who was apprehended on October 30, 2023, is presently receiving medical care at a local hospital.
He stated, “On October 18, 2023, the suspect, while at Mukuvinyi Village in the Hong Local Government Area, allegedly lured his victim to his residence and aggressively attempted to engage in non-consensual intercourse until she resisted.”
“Up to this point in the investigation,” Nguroje continued, “it has been revealed that, while defending herself, the victim used a razor blade to thwart the assault, resulting in a severe injury to the suspect, who is now under medical treatment.”
Commissioner of Police (CP) Afolabi Babatola expressed his grave concern over the incident and instructed the officer in charge of the Family Support Unit to lead the investigation and ensure a comprehensive legal process.
The Police commissioner also appealed to the public, particularly those residing in villages, to promptly report information to the police, especially regarding individuals with criminal inclinations towards the opposite gender
