An unidentified man has been found dead while standing in the Ojodu Berger area of Lagos State, a development that baffled residents of the area.
The lifeless body of this yet-to-be-identified individual was discovered in the early hours of Tuesday, October 31, within a truck garage in the Berger vicinity of Lagos, MUK TV gathered.
According to an eyewitness named Wahab, who shared his account, the lifeless man was found standing and leaning against the garage wall when truck drivers arrived to collect their vehicles.
There were no visible signs of physical harm or bruising on the deceased, who was clad only in black shorts.
Wahab recounted, “When we arrived at the truck garage on Tuesday morning, around 8:30 am, we noticed a young man; he was attired in dirty black shorts, seemingly standing and resting his head against the wall of the truck parking area, as if he were still asleep.”
He went on to explain that the man appeared disheveled and neglected. Attempts were made to rouse him, but to everyone’s astonishment, he remained unresponsive. After closer examination, it became apparent that the man had passed away while in a standing position, not to indicate his passing.
Promptly, someone reported the situation to the Ojodu police station. Law enforcement authorities arrived at the scene and removed the deceased’s body.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the State Police Public Relations Officer, verified the incident and stated, “The corpse has been evacuated and placed in the Mainland Hospital mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy, while efforts are underway to establish the individual’s identity.”
