A devastating road accident in Mpape, a suburb community neighboring the Maitama District of Abuja, tragically claimed the lives of no fewer than five persons on Thursday.
MUK TV gathered that the accident transpired when a sand-laden truck suffered a catastrophic brake failure on the narrow and bumpy Mpape Junction, ramming into motorcycles, tricycles, vehicles, and pedestrians.
Chorrie Mutaa, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FCT Command, confirmed the incident, reporting that the corps’ rescue team had recovered the lifeless bodies of five individuals while attending to ten others who sustained injuries.
