After a remarkable 30-year career in music, Spanish singer and songwriter Enrique Iglesias has declared his retirement from the industry.
Renowned for his iconic track “Hero,” he’s preparing to unveil his last album, “Final (Vol. 2),” marking his ultimate musical contribution.
In an interview with TODAY on Wednesday, the 48-year-old singer revealed, “It’s finished. It’s coming out in February. It’s finished. What I want to do is shoot one or two videos right before the second leg of the tour and launch it.”
Reflecting on his musical odyssey, Iglesias expressed, “I’ve been working on this album for quite a bunch of years. And for me, it was always like I said, my final album… this is it. I don’t think — no, I know, I won’t be doing any more albums.”
The album’s lead single, “Así Es La Vida,” featuring Maria Beccera, debuted in October. Engaged in The Trilogy Tour with Ricky Martin and Pitbull since mid-October, Iglesias has enjoyed a prosperous and illustrious career spanning three decades.
