Rapid FM, hailed as the premier radio station in Abia State, is preparing to bestow the “2023 Personality of the Year” award upon Mascot Uzor Kalu (KSJI), the state’s 2023 governorship candidate for the Action Peoples Party (APP), MUK TV can exclusively report.
In its inaugural edition, the award aims to acknowledge Kalu’s substantial role in propelling the station’s remarkable growth.
A source within Rapid FM, speaking anonymously to MUK TV, lauded the APP governorship candidate’s instrumental contribution to the station’s ascension as a dominant force in Abia’s airwaves, particularly during the gubernatorial elections.
“He was pivotal in our growth, especially during the gubernatorial election. His participation in our programs garnered significant listenership due to his insightful ideas for Abia state,” the source revealed.
The event’s organizers confirmed that the award ceremony will take place on Friday, 8th December 2023, at the radio station’s premises.
Kalu’s active involvement in Rapid FM’s political and current affairs program, ‘The Stand Point,’ where he articulated actionable plans for Abia’s advancement, was notable in the lead-up to the state’s gubernatorial elections.
Established in 2022, Rapid FM, operating on the 96.5 frequency modulated band, became the pioneer 24-hour radio station in Abia State, renowned for its captivating programs, solidifying its standing as arguably the state’s leading radio station.
