In a shocking incident near Delhi, India, a husband, identified as Dharamveer, reportedly beheaded his wife, Sundari, following a violent outburst triggered by her delay in preparing his morning tea.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, the 52-year-old daily wage worker allegedly stabbed his 50-year-old wife 15 times with a sword before beheading her at their home in the village of Faljagadh, Uttar Pradesh.
The dreadful incident unfolded as Dharamveer, waking up minutes after his wife had begun making the tea, demanded it immediately. When informed of a 10-minute wait, he erupted into a fit of rage, kicking utensils and eventually retrieving a sword to attack Sundari while she was at the stove.
Their son, known as Soldier, rushed to help upon hearing his mother’s screams but was reportedly attacked by Dharamveer, forcing the children to flee to safety.
The tragedy attracted villagers upon hearing the commotion, discovering Sundari’s lifeless body at the scene.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Gyan Prakash Rai confirmed the altercation, stating, “Dharamveer and Sundari had a fight over making tea.
He then took out a sharp weapon and attacked her on the neck from behind, which led to her immediate death.”
Dharamveer, subsequently arrested, had reportedly displayed anger over delayed tea in the past, though this marked an unprecedented and tragic escalation.
The investigation into this harrowing incident continues.
