The social media drama between renowned Nollywood actor Yul Edochie and his first wife, May Edochie, has taken an intensified turn as Yul continues to publicly criticize May over the return of the bride price he paid for her.
Yul Edochie, known for his vibrant presence on Instagram, recently unleashed another tirade against his first wife, May Edochie, in a short statement shared on Wednesday morning via his official Instagram page.
The actor accused May of a refusal to return the bride price he had paid for her.
This ongoing feud between the former couple has persisted ever since their separation following Yul’s subsequent marriage to fellow Nollywood actress, Judith.
The rift between the celebrity pair has spilled over onto social media platforms, with public accusations and counter-accusations characterizing their exchanges.
In his statement, Yul expressed his frustration, stating, You have filed for divorce yet you refused to drop my name. Return the bride price I paid, you and your family refused.”
He continued by highlighting his attempts to address the issue, stating, I have asked for the return of the bride price a couple of times, you people vehemently refused. I don’t understand why.”
The unresolved dispute over the bride price appears to be a point of contention between the estranged couple, escalating their public confrontation and raising questions among their followers about the circumstances surrounding their separation.
