German-born Hollywood actor Christian Oliver, known for his roles in movies like “The Good German” and “Speed Racer,” met a devastating fate as he, along with his two daughters, Madita (10) and Annik (12), lost their lives in a tragic plane crash. The aircraft, piloted by Robert Sachs, plunged into the Caribbean Sea shortly after departing from Bequia to St Lucia.
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force confirmed the deaths of Oliver, 51, and the two young girls aboard the privately owned single-engine plane. Fishermen, divers, and the coast guard swiftly responded to the crash site, recovering four bodies, including the pilot.
The heart-wrenching incident shattered a family seemingly on vacation, as Oliver had recently shared a picture on Instagram captioned: “Greetings from somewhere in paradise! To community and love… 2024 [here] we come!”
Renowned for his acting career spanning over 60 movies and TV roles, including appearances in “Valkyrie” alongside Tom Cruise, Oliver initially gained fame with his roles in “Saved by the Bell: The New Class” and “The Baby-Sitters Club.”
In Germany, he starred in the popular cop show “Alarm fur Cobra 11” for two seasons before transitioning to Hollywood.
