Afrobeat sensation, Seun Kuti, has stirred controversy, debunking the notion of miracles performed by Nigerian pastors in response to the shocking British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) documentary exposing the alleged misdeeds of late pastor TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Following the revelations of alleged abuse, manipulation, rape, and staged miracles in the BBC documentary, Kuti voiced his skepticism in a video on Instagram.
He vehemently accused Nigerian pastors of fabricating miracles, likening them to regular individuals using the guise of the church to conceal their reprehensible behavior.
In his impassioned statement, Kuti boldly claimed that no Nigerian pastor has ever executed a genuine miracle.
He accused top church leaders of replicating the same offenses highlighted in the BBC documentary, going as far as coining “TBJ” as a euphemism for ‘rape’ in the current context.
“No Nigerian pastor has ever performed a real miracle. They are all faking it, All the General Overseer Pastors are guilty of the same offenses BBC has accused TB Joshua of, Now the new Word for “rape is now ‘TBJ’.”
