Bauchi State has seen a remarkable turnout with an influx of over 22,000 applicants vying for positions in the ongoing Nigeria Police Force Constable recruitment.
The recruitment drive, currently underway at the Police Training School (PTS) in Bauchi, involves individuals from all 20 LGAs of the state undergoing rigorous screening conducted by various government bodies.
The screening includes verification of documents, physical measurements, and preliminary health checks to assess the candidates’ fitness for the subsequent training phase.
Assistant Chief Angulu N. Kadiri from the Police Service Commission confirmed to newsmen that the screening, which commenced seamlessly on Monday, is progressing smoothly without any significant challenges.
He assured that every eligible applicant equipped with the necessary documentation will undergo the screening process.
Commending the support from Bauchi State Government and the State Police Command, Kadiri expressed confidence in the completion of the exercise within the stipulated time frame.
Regarding the specific number of recruits allocated to Bauchi State, Kadiri indicated that while the exact figure wasn’t disclosed, the state would secure the allocated quota.
He stated that each state has an allotted recruitment number, ensuring Bauchi’s inclusion.
Representing the Ministry of Police Affairs, Abdulrahman Sule Katagum highlighted their oversight role in overseeing the exercise to ensure its successful and fair conduct.
He reiterated the commitment to recruit the allocated number from qualified candidates.
Assurances were echoed by all government departments involved, emphasizing adherence to due process to select only the most qualified individuals in the recruitment process.
