The Kwara State Garment Factory has temporarily closed its application portal after an overwhelming response of over 8,000 applicants within two days for the 300 available vacancies.

The factory initially announced 300 new vacancies for production workers on Monday.

However, on Wednesday, through an official statement on the Kwara State Government’s X handle, the factory declared the closure of its application portal.

The statement acknowledged the enthusiastic response, stating, “We are impressed by this response, which shows that people are truly keen and excited to work with us.”

Despite the excitement, the portal had to be closed earlier than planned due to the staggering number of applications received.

The statement emphasized, “We received no less than 8,373 applications within the first 48 hours of opening the portal. That was impressive! We have, therefore, shut the portal to allow for thorough and professional screening of the applications already submitted.”
