Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Daniel Bwala, has showered accolades on President Bola Tinubu, applauding his leadership style and unwavering commitment to the nation’s welfare.
Bwala, who served as the spokesperson for the campaign organization of PDP’s candidate in the February 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, likened Tinubu’s leadership approach to that of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States.
In a surprising tweet from his X handle on Thursday, Bwala praised Tinubu for prioritizing the country’s interests above all else, echoing Lincoln’s principles.
“He values competence, loyalty and dedication. He looks beyond primordial sentiments, he recognises the difference between politics and collaboration for the good of the country. To him, the country comes first: to every patriot, the country should come first,” Bwala tweeted.
“@officialABAT adopts the Abraham Lincoln style of leadership; country first. If you want to understand him, read the book ‘Lincoln on Leadership; Executive Strategies for Tough Times,’” he continued, urging others to explore the parallels.
Despite his affiliation with the PDP, lately, Bwala has been vocal in expressing admiration for Tinubu.
Addressing claims of disloyalty to Atiku, Bwala dismissed the notion as “absolute nonsense,” positing that supporting Tinubu does not equate to betraying his former principal.
Recall that in a recent interview Channels TV, Bwala even hinted at the possibility of accepting an appointment from Tinubu, stating his willingness to contribute to the development agenda of the President.
