President Bola Tinubu is presently in a closed-door meeting with the members of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN) at the Council Chamber in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, MUK TV has learned.
This extraordinary gathering comes merely 48 hours after Sheikh AbdurRasheed Hadiyyatullah, the President of SCSN, publicly expressed remorse for endorsing the Tinubu-Shettima same-faith ticket in the previous year.
On Tuesday, Sheikh Hadiyyatullah stirred fresh controversy during an interview in Abuja, criticizing the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election.
He declared that the same-faith strategy, instrumental in Tinubu’s victory in the last general election, has failed to bring positive changes to the lives of Nigerians, including Muslims.
