An explosion in Kidandan village, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has left at least 10 children injured on Saturday.
According to The Punch, incident occurred as the children were playing with an object they discovered in a nearby bush.
The village head, Alhaji Abubakar Ruka, confirmed the incident, revealing that the children were rushed to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital and Shika Hospital in Zaria for treatment.
He mentioned that the police had visited the community, and the names of the victims are currently being compiled.
“The incident happened today (Saturday) when the children were playing with an object they found near the bush. The object suddenly exploded on them. 10 of them were injured and no deaths, but they were taken to the hospital for treatment. Right now, I’m compiling their names,” he added.
