Shortly after the disbandment of the Ondo State Executive Council, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa swiftly nominated Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami, the former Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly, as the prospective deputy governor.
Adelami, who previously contended for the governorship under the All Progressive Congress in 2020, hails from the Owo region of the state.
Aiyedatiwa has promptly submitted Adelami’s nomination to the state House of Assembly for official approval.
Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, confirmed this nomination, highlighting Adelami’s significant background as a retired figure from the National Assembly in April 2018.
