The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is on the hunt for former beauty queen Aderinoye Queen Christmas, also known as Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, after she escaped a raid on her Lekki residence.
The anti-nacortic agency declared her wanted for alleged involvement in illicit substance dealings.
Aderinoye, known for her role as Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Culture 2015/2016 and the founder of Queen Christmas Foundation, is now a fugitive after her apartment in Oral Estate, Lekki, was raided based on credible intelligence.
Recovered during the search were 606 grams of Canadian Loud (a synthetic cannabis strain), an electronic weighing scale, significant amounts of drug packaging plastics, her black RAV 4 SUV marked Lagos KSF 872 GQ, and personal items.
NDLEA Spokesman, Femi Babafemi, revealed that another arrest was made at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
Udechukwu Ekene Theophilus, a Brazil returnee, was caught ingesting 60 big wraps of cocaine.
Also, a joint examination at the Lagos airport led to the recovery of twelve cartons of tramadol weighing 385.40kg, shipped from Karachi, Pakistan, in two batches.
Several other successful operations across different states resulted in the arrest of multiple suspects involved in drug trafficking.
NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) commended the outstanding feats of the officers and men involved, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balance between drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction activities.
