Céline Dion and her eldest son René-Charles Angélil appeared onstage at the 2024 Grammy Awards to present Album of the Year to Taylor Swift amid her health struggles.

Celine Dion wasn’t by herself when it came to her appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The singer of “My Heart Will Go On” was actually accompanied by her 23-year-old eldest son, René-Charles Angelil, who accompanied his mother when she accepted the Album of the Year trophy, which went to Taylor Swift’s Midnights.

The occasion was particularly meaningful because it took place in the midst of Céline’s ongoing struggle with stiff person syndrome. Those in attendance on February 4th recognized the importance of the occasion by giving Céline a standing ovation and heartfelt applause.

“Thank you all,” she said in response to the warm welcome, growing emotional. “I love you right back. When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart

Prior to her award presentation, the 55-year-old was also spotted backstage at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena with her stylist Law Roach, as seen in a social media video.

Law Roach dressed Céline in a pale pink chiffon dress and a glitzy, golden Valentino wool coat for the moving occasion. Chunky silver jewelry and a blunt bob haircut finished her appearance.

Just over a year had passed since Céline’s diagnosis of the uncommon neurological disorder, which can cause excruciating muscle spasms and stiffness, forced her to postpone her world tour.

It has been a journey that will soon be shared with the public in the Grammy winner’s new documentary, I Am: Céline Dion.

“This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me,” she revealed last month in a preview of the documentary, “the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.”

Céline was only one of many celebrities who turned the 2024 Grammy Awards into a family affair. Keep reading to see all of the sweet moments celebrities were joined by their loved ones.
