The traditional ruler of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Obi Joseph Chike Edozien, has passed away, marking the end of an era for the Delta state capital.
While the royal family has yet to officially announce his demise, palace sources confirmed to the media that the revered monarch breathed his last on Wednesday, just five months shy of his anticipated 100th birthday in July.
Edozien, who served as the 13th Asagba of Asaba, held the throne for an illustrious 33 years, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom and leadership.
