The Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial Distric, Gbenga Daniel, has encouraged Nigerians not to despair amidst the nation’s economic challenges, urging understanding as President Bola Tinubu tackles inherited economic woes.
During his visit to Ijebu Ode Local Area in Ogun State, Daniel acknowledged the tough times but expressed optimism, noting efforts by Tinubu to address the situation.
The former Ogun State governor highlighted Tinubu’s commitment to finding solutions, despite challenges preventing him from openly discussing the economic reality.
Daniel implored Nigerians to cooperate with the administration’s efforts for a brighter future, emphasizing his own contribution through monthly food aid distribution and empowerment initiatives.
“Though times may be tough, I urge you to bear with us,” Daniel remarked, acknowledging the inherited economic difficulties faced by President Tinubu.
He assured citizens of imminent improvements, stressing the need for collective support.
“Really, things might not be so good as we want it but I want to plead with you my people to show understanding because our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited what we can call a failed economy.
“But it is impossible for him to talk. With all the things that have happened before him, he cannot talk, all he is trying to do is to find the solution.
“I want to assure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel and our country will be better for it. The President needs our cooperation now more than ever before and I assure you that just very soon everything will be fine with us,” The Punch quoted the Senator as saying.
Daniel reiterated his dedication to improving lives in Ogun East through impactful projects, underscoring the importance of solidarity during these trying times.
