The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has made a significant change to its Edo State Primary Election Committee by dropping Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, from his role as Chairman.
Stepping into his place is Bassey Otu, a member of the committee and Cross River State Governor, tasked with coordinating the crucial exercise.
Joining Otu on the committee are Mrs. Titilayo Tomori, Hon. Umar Hassan, Lawal Garba, and former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Rabiu Sulaiman, who assumes the position of Secretary.
The decision comes in response to protests following the outcome of last Saturday’s primary election, which led to the emergence of three “candidates.”
Recall that aspirants and stakeholders had petitioned the NWC, urging the removal of Uzodinma.
