Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, is mourning the loss of his father, Phillip Enyeama, who passed away at an advanced age after a distinguished coaching career.
Vincent shared the sad news in a touching tribute on his Instagram account, accompanied by a video of him and his late father playing Table Tennis.
In the tribute, he expressed gratitude for his father’s selflessness and generosity, crediting him for being a driving force behind many people’s achievements. He fondly remembered his father’s role in shaping his life, stating, “I am proud to have been fathered by you. Your number was called. Farewell. God rest your soul in peace.”
Coach Phillip Enyeama played am important role in Vincent’s early training and is celebrated for nurturing one of Africa’s most iconic goalkeepers.
His passing marks another loss for Vincent, who had previously mourned the death of his mother in 2015.
