Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has delivered a stern message to corps members, cautioning them against sharing camp activities on social media.
Addressing the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Ogun State Permanent Orientation Camp in Sagamu on Sunday, February 25, the DG emphasized the importance of discretion regarding moments captured during the three-week exercise.
He stated, “Don’t allow your service year to go idle without utilizing it. No single hour should go unproductive. You must continue to do something in line with your goals.”
He further stressed the need for privacy, saying, “You are not expected to post camp activities on social media; whatever is recorded should be for your personal consumption.”
In addition to social media restraint, the DG urged corps members to prioritize personal security and refrain from unnecessary and unauthorized journeys during their service year.
