Ethiopian Airlines, amidst controversy surrounding the Nigeria Air project, asserts that it operated within the bounds of Nigerian law, countering Minister Keyamo’s claims of irregularities.
Lemma Yadecha Gudeta, Group Chief Commercial Officer, revealed that Ethiopian Airlines has already acquired three aircraft for the project, expressing readiness to proceed despite ongoing investigations.
Gudeta stressed the airline’s adherence to proper bid evaluation processes, stating, “We strongly believed that whatever we did was according to the law of Nigeria.”
With one aircraft already delivered and more en route, Ethiopian Airlines remains confident in the project’s legitimacy and awaits governmental clearance to continue.
