Senator Abdul Ningi has accused the Senate of attempting to arrest him following his revelation about alleged padding amounting to N3.7 trillion in the 2024 appropriation budget.
In an interview on Arise Television, Ningi made these startling claims, suggesting a deepening rift within the Senate.
Ningi’s suspension from the Senate for three months came after he raised concerns about the disappearance of projects worth N3.7 trillion from the 2024 budget.
Speaking boldly, Ningi emphasized that he refuses to be silenced, stating, “I know this parliament very well… Let’s speak. Have they ever asked me… where are your findings? Where are the documents? I’m not using my head to come up with figures.”
He further asserted that no one has engaged with him regarding evidence, raising questions about the Senate’s intentions.
“I have opened this can of worms,” Ningi declared, warning that neither he nor the Senate will be able to contain the repercussions of his revelations.
