Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has extended a heartfelt appeal to Peter Obi, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), urging him to set aside political differences and rally behind President Bola Tinubu in addressing the nation’s pressing development challenges.
In a statement released on Monday by Ibrahim Addra, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sule, it was revealed that Sule issued this call during a courtesy visit by Obi to the Government House in Lafia.
Expressing the need for collective effort in governance, Governor Sule emphasized the importance of tapping into Obi’s wealth of experience to bolster the Tinubu administration’s efforts in nation-building.
“I want to also call on you, Sir, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The country’s challenges cannot be resolved by one person alone. We all have roles to play,” remarked Governor Sule.
He expressed gratitude to Obi for his initiatives aimed at alleviating economic hardships, echoing the ongoing efforts of President Tinubu and state governors across the country.
In response, Obi commended Governor Sule for the infrastructural development in Nasarawa State, highlighting the positive impact of such projects on the community. He stressed the importance of acknowledging positive strides in politics, not just focusing on negative aspects.
Obi also outlined his commitment to supporting the people of Nasarawa State during the fasting period, particularly through initiatives such as the sinking of boreholes.
The visit by Obi is part of a larger nationwide tour aimed at fostering unity and collaboration across various regions of the country.
