A Zimbabwean woman living in South Africa reportedly ended her own life after being caught in a compromising situation with her husband’s coworker.
The incident, captured in a viral video, shocked many as Mai Aisha was seen engaging in a sexual encounter with her husband’s colleague, igniting a violent confrontation with her husband, known as Baba Aisha, and his friends.
According to H-Metro, the confrontation escalated after Baba Aisha received a tip-off about his wife’s infidelity, despite her attempts to justify the presence of her lover by claiming he was there for a mundane reason—to fix a light.
Tragically, Mai Aisha took her life the following day, leaving her husband devastated and grappling with the aftermath.
Baba Aisha recounted the harrowing events, revealing that he had physically confronted his wife and arranged for her to return to her family’s home after discussing her betrayal.
However, upon returning from work, he made the grim discovery of her lifeless body, accompanied by an empty bottle of poison and a note detailing her final actions.
In his grief-stricken state, Baba Aisha expressed his profound sense of loss and confusion, unsure of how to navigate the aftermath of his wife’s tragic decision.
He lamented: “I assaulted her when I caught her with my friend. We talked about her cheating and agreed that she goes back kumba kwavo. I then booked her a bus ticket but found her dead when I came back from work. I saw an empty bottle and a note by her side saying she (swallowed) the poison, I don’t know where to start now.”
