Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in a fiery address, issued a resounding vow to triumph over his political adversaries in Rivers State, branding them as “political harlots.”
Speaking at a special Thanksgiving event in Port Harcourt hosted by Minority Leader Kingsley Chinda to commemorate his birthday and new role in the National Assembly, Wike spared no punches in his rhetoric.
Reflecting on past political dynamics, Wike lamented the pressure he faced in selecting a successor for the upcoming 2023 elections, highlighting Chinda as a prime candidate for the role.
Dismissing rival contenders, particularly from his own Ikwerre tribe, Wike derided their opportunistic aspirations, contrasting them with Chinda’s steadfastness and integrity.
He declared, “Leave all these people who cannot stand ordinary hunger. Leave these political harlots; I will continue to defeat them.”
With unwavering confidence, the former Rivers Governor asserted his dominance in the political arena, emphasizing his readiness to confront any challenger and uphold his vision for Rivers State.
