Ali Ciroma, a former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has sadly passed away at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
His death was announced by a family member, Ali Ibrahim Ciroma, who serves as the Secretary of the Borno State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists.
Ciroma’s contributions to the labor movement, spanning from his presidency of the NLC in the 1980s to his role during the Abacha regime, are remembered with respect.
His burial is scheduled for tomorrow in Maiduguri.
