Nigerians are calling for Pastor Paul Enenche to tender a public apology to a member of his congregation whom he publicly humiliated during a church service, falsely accusing her of lying during her testimony.
The incident happened on Sunday, April 14, when the church member took the pulpit to share her testimony of graduating with a “Bachelor of Law” degree (B.Sc) from the National Open University of Nigeria the previous day.
However, Pastor Enenche abruptly interrupted her testimony, alleging that she was not being truthful and questioning the authenticity of her degree.
The clergyman insisted that there is no such qualification as a “Bachelor of Law” and instructed her to step down from the pulpit.
Following the incident, concerned Nigerians conducted an investigation, uncovering evidence that supported the woman’s testimony.
Photos from her graduation ceremony at the National Open University, Abuja, along with her name on the official list of graduates from the convocation held on Saturday, April 13, corroborated her claims.
Further validation was found through a search on the National Open University’s website, confirming the existence of a “Bachelor of Law” program offered by the institution.
