Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade added fuel to the fire of Arsenal’s woes, as the London club faced a crushing blow in their English Premier League title pursuit with a 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Over the weekend, Arsenal stuttered at home to Aston Villa and were caught napping to the visitors’ two late goals from Ollie Watkins, a defeat that pushed down in pecking orders, two points behind Manchester City in the title race with just six matches remaining.

Expressing her disbelief at Arsenal’s recurring title struggles, Ajibade took to her social media account after the game, suggesting that Mikel Arteta’s side might need divine intervention, The Punch reported.

“Gunners, una need deliverance. Dem need to pack all of una go MFM prayer city for hot deliverance.”

Despite the jest, some Arsenal fans corroborated Ajibade’s sentiment.

Abu Azeez, a former NPFL star and devoted Gunners supporter, humorously referred to Ajibade as “mummy G.O,” while another fan, John Zacchaeus, expressed frustration at the team’s persistent setbacks.

Meanwhile, other fans like Chukwuka Destiny shifted focus to Arsenal’s upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, defending the players amidst fatigue concerns.

With crucial fixtures ahead, including matches against Wolves, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bournemouth, Manchester United, and Everton, Arsenal faces an uphill battle to salvage their title aspirations.
