Governor Usman Ododo made a dramatic entrance at the besieged residence of former Governor Yahaya Bello in Abuja, where Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives faced resistance while attempting to arrest the ex-governor.
Ododo, who arrived with his armed security men at Mr. Bello’s home on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4 around 2:45 PM, stepped into a tense standoff, and quickly mobilized youths to protest against the siege.
According to reports from Peoples Gazette, EFCC agents and armed forces had sealed off both entrances to the property, effectively putting the residence under siege.
Despite their efforts, the operatives were blocked from entering by Bello’s security team.
A source from the EFCC, preferring to remain anonymous as they were not cleared to discuss the matter publicly, revealed to the media that their attempts to penetrate the premises were thwarted by the ex-governor’s security detail.
