Iranian President Ebrahim Raisib has given a stern warning on Tuesday, declaring that any Israeli aggression against Iranian soil could lead to the obliteration of the “Zionist regime.”
During his three-day visit to Pakistan, Raisi emphasized the importance of bolstering trade between the two neighboring nations, aiming for a yearly target of $10 billion.
Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated, with both nations engaging in unprecedented military exchanges earlier this year.
Following Iran’s retaliation on April 13 for an alleged Israeli strike in Damascus, reports indicate that Israel planned a broader counterstrike targeting military sites, including those near Tehran.
While Israel has not officially acknowledged responsibility for the counterstrike, Iranian President Raisi reaffirmed Iran’s support for Palestinian resistance during a speech in Lahore, referencing assistance to Hamas in Gaza.
The conflict between Iran and Israel intensified after months of unrest in the Gaza Strip, where Israel launched a massive offensive in response to attacks by Hamas-led militants.
Since then, Iran’s proxies in Lebanon and Yemen have also targeted Israel in support of Gaza’s Palestinians.
