Anyim Vera, a member of Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC), who gained notoriety after being accused of falsehood during a church testimony, is facing severe criticism.

On April 15, a video went viral depicting the Senior Pastor of DIGC, Dr. Paul Enenche, questioning Vera’s claim of being a law graduate during her testimony.

Enenche, perplexed by Vera’s purported legal background and flawed English, requested clarification.

Vera asserted that she obtained a BSc in law from the National Open University of Nigeria, prompting the clergyman to dismiss her testimony as untrue.

This incident sparked outrage among Nigerians, leading to demands for an apology from the pastor, which the church eventually issued.

In a recent Facebook video, Vera appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to secure better housing.

She expressed concern about her safety in her current residence, emphasizing that her ‘celebrity’ status was unexpected.

Vera stated, “I never dreamed of being a celebrity. It just happened suddenly. I never prepared for it.”

However, her plea received backlash from social media users, with some questioning her motives and advising caution:

Iyanya Johnny: “You are popular, that’s different from being a celebrity. Now you want help? I thought they said she is a police officer.”

Chidozie Emebie: “This is not right, madam. Whoever advised you to make this video does not mean well for you.”

Edward Ojodomo: “This video has the capability to tarnish your good image and damage your reputation.”

Alhassan Anthony: “You are a product of Grace, go back to your former house, nothing will happen to you. Don’t beg anybody.”

Ekanade Samuel: “Madam, don’t abuse the privilege you have now. Appreciate God for what He has done for you and move on with your life.”

Lois Adams: “She needs to be laid off the service if she doesn’t stop. She is constituting a nuisance.”

The controversy surrounding Vera’s actions continues to unfold as opinions remain divided.
