Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, urged Nigerians to remain patient with President Bola Tinubu as he navigates the country’s economic revival after years of neglect and policy inconsistencies.
Speaking during a meeting with leaders of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) from across the nation, Ganduje stressed the need for perseverance as Tinubu’s comprehensive policies aim to propel Nigeria to new heights.
“The President from his extensive policies is taking Nigeria to the next level. But we need to bear with him because what we are seeing is an accumulation of so many years of neglect, policy summersaults and other disjointed decisions by previous administrations,” The Punch quoted Ganduje as saying.
Addressing the gathering, Tolu Bankole, the APC National Leader of Persons With Disabilities, highlighted the significance of PWDs’ contributions to society and pledged support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope policies.
Bankole said, “The population of persons with disabilities in Nigeria, according to Independent findings in 2022, is above 31 million. This is higher than the entire population of five countries in the West African sub-region. Many often forget that we have children, wives and other dependents who look up to us for support and sustenance.”
He further urged support for APC candidates in upcoming off-cycle governorship elections in Edo and Ondo, citing the party’s commitment to inclusive governance.
In conclusion, Ganduje reiterated the call for patience and unity, asserting Tinubu’s dedication to steering Nigeria towards a brighter future.
