Once more, Nimbo community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State reels from a brutal onslaught, this time by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Late Sunday evening witnessed the harrowing attack, resulting in loss of lives and severe injuries among the residents.
Eyewitnesses recount the horror as mourners at Ugwuijoro Nimbo community were ambushed by the herders, leaving a trail of devastation and grief.
According Daily Post, among the fallen victims are Okeh Simon Ugwu Oruku, Okeh Chukwuebuka, Julius Ogbonna Odiegwu, and Gabriel Ugwor Ezea.
A disturbing video circulating on Monday morning showcases the aftermath of the horrible incident– a desolate landscape, strewn with wreckage, and lifeless bodies staining the ground.
This is not the first time Nimbo faces such brutality; a similar attack in 2016 left scores dead, sparking national outcry.
