Protesters from Zamfara State have descended upon the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters, demanding the reopening of investigations into former governor Bello Matawalle.
Organized by the APC Loyalists Forum, the demonstrators urge the EFCC to scrutinize all allegations against Matawalle, particularly regarding the purported misappropriation of N70 billion in state funds during his tenure.
Assuring the protesters, EFCC’s Director of Public Affairs, Wilson Uwujaren, reiterated the commission’s commitment to seeing through every corruption case to its rightful conclusion.
