The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is on the brink of launching a nationwide strike, citing grievances including the absence of governing councils in federal universities and other unresolved issues with the government.
ASUU, recalling the dissolution of university governing councils by the federal government in May of the previous year, urges Nigerians to hold the government accountable for any actions taken in response to its protest.
According a Vanguard report, Osodeke addressed the media in an ongoing press conference at the ASUU national secretariat in Abuja.
