A bill aimed at establishing a federal agency to conduct local government elections has successfully passed its first reading in the Senate.
Titled the “Local Government Independent Electoral Commission (Establishment) Bill, 2024,” the legislation was introduced by Senator Sani Musa, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance.
