Manchester City are in talks to sign former West Ham striker Divin Mubama.
The 19-year-old’s contract expired at West Ham in June but the Hammers would still be due a compensation fee which has yet to be agreed.
If a fee isn’t agreed, then the two clubs would have to go through an arbitration process for the East Londoners to receive a fee for the forward’s development.
But the England Under-20 international has chosen to join City over several clubs in Europe and is ready to agree personal terms.
His move also remains subject to a medical and he would then begin life at Etihad Stadium in the Under-21s but with a view to making first-team appearances.
Mubama, who had been with West Ham since the age of 10, made 18 appearances in the first team, scoring one goal.
