President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), following the resignation of Yusuf Bichi, marking a significant change in the leadership setup of the Nigerian Intelligence community.
Bichi, who was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari on September 14, 2018, to replace Matthew Seiyefa, has stepped down from his role.
Bichi’s resignation comes shortly after that of Ahmed Abubakar, the Director-General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), who submitted his resignation to President Tinubu during a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Saturday.
In response, President Tinubu has also approved the appointment of Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the NIA.
