The Federal Government has issued a heartfelt appeal for Nigerians living abroad to return home and actively participate in the nation’s growth. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), made this urgent call during an event held in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, October 19.
Dabiri-Erewa underscored the significance of engaging the diaspora, urging Nigerians overseas to leverage their skills and experiences to address the socio-economic challenges that hinder national progress. She emphasized that collaboration among Nigerians—both at home and in the diaspora—is crucial for driving development.
Highlighting the vast opportunities available in Nigeria, she stated, “No foreigner will leave his country and help develop another,” stressing the importance of returning citizens in fostering a brighter future for the nation.
