The Obaseki administration marked its final Executive Council meeting today, with the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Adaze Aguele Kalu, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the journey of transformation and progress under Governor Godwin Obaseki’s leadership.

Reflecting on her tenure, Mrs. Kalu relished the pride and honour of serving first as the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning and later as the administration’s first female Finance Commissioner.

In a farewell message obtained exclusively by MUK TV, the Commissioner recalled, “Eight years ago, Governor Obaseki embarked on a mission to reshape Edo State with a vision of sustainable development, transparency, and accountability.”

Mrs. Kalu, a seasoned financial expert who brought her years of corporate expertise to bear in fine-tuning the state’s public finance management, highlighted the strides made in restoring hope and promoting prudent governance in Edo.

“Today, we look back with pride at how far we have come and the milestones we have achieved together,” she noted, recalling the challenges the Obaseki administration overcame to deliver on its campaign promises.

As the administration draws to an end, Mrs. Kalu expressed confidence in Edo’s continued progress and extended her best wishes for Governor Obaseki’s future endeavours.
