Martins Ortse, a social media commentator popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has criticized Ola Olukoyede, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), labeling him as incompetent.

Olukoyede’s inability to apprehend former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello despite declaring him wanted since April, according to VeryDarkMan, demonstrates his incompetence.

It should be noted that EFCC had filed charges against Bello over alleged N80.2 billion money laundering offences while he was governor of Kogi State.

The Commission had placed Bello on a wanted list, but the former governor allegedly turned himself in to the anti-graft agency.

Despite the EFCC’s declaration that Bello is wanted, he was reportedly released.

VeryDarkMan, in a post on Instagram on Monday, said:

Ola Olukoyede is a symbol of incompetence, mediocrity and I call him a clown.

“Why did I call him a clown? On April 18 2024, he posted that Yahaya Bello is wanted by the EFCC. On the same day he posted that ‘N80.2bn money laundering, Bello’s absence stalls arraignment’.

Since April EFCC posted that Yahaya Bello was wanted, it has been story upon story. Within all these, EFCC has been able to arraign over 100 people. The money from all these people is not up to N120 million unlike Bello,” he partly said.

Captioning the message, he wrote, “@officialefcc the clowns of all agencies TELL YOUR CHAIRMAN HE IS A BIG CLOWN….the only grace you have is the fact that the youths are always carried away, una office no suppose dey exist again,&rresting young boys everyday and neglecting the real fr@udst&r$”
