President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Jami’u Abiola as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Affairs. The appointment, effective November 14, 2024, reflects the President’s commitment to leveraging expertise in specialized areas of governance.
A statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, confirmed the appointment.
It was made in accordance with the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act 2008, as amended.
Before this role, Jami’u Abiola served as the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President.
President Tinubu has directed Abiola to collaborate closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting the importance of his linguistic and diplomatic expertise in enhancing Nigeria’s international engagements.
